Description:

• Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction to promote the client’s overall well-being.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide light housekeeping and laundry assistance to maintain a clean and safe home environment.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal-related needs according to the client’s care plan.
• Provide medication reminders as directed.
• Assist with transportation, errands, and appointments as assigned.
• Support clients with safe transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Communicate effectively with clients using American Sign Language (ASL), as needed.
• Observe and promptly report any changes in the client’s condition, behavior, or needs.
• Follow the client’s individualized care plan and all Amada Senior Care policies and procedures.
• Maintain the client’s dignity, privacy, safety, and confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:

 

• Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience required.
• Must have a genuine passion for helping seniors and individuals who need assistance.
• Must be dependable, compassionate, patient, and professional.
• Must be proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and able to effectively communicate with clients who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Must successfully complete required background checks and meet applicable Texas hiring requirements.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Current automobile insurance required.
• Must be available to work assigned shifts, including day and/or night shifts as needed.
• Must demonstrate professional communication and appropriate workplace conduct.
