Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) – Full Time/ PRN/ Part-Time

Speech Solutions Pediatric Services is a therapist-owned pediatric private practice dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to children and their families throughout the Hampton Roads area. We are expanding our multidisciplinary team and are seeking a passionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an OT who values flexibility, collaboration, and working in a supportive environment where patient care comes first.

 

Position Type

• Full Time, PRN, or Part-Time
• W-4 and 1099 Independent Contractor
• Flexible scheduling
• Opportunity to grow into a larger caseload as referrals continue to increase

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for pediatric patients.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals.
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services.
• Educate parents and caregivers regarding home programming and progress.
• Complete documentation in a timely manner using our electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with speech-language pathologists and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.

Patient Population

Children ages birth through adolescence with diagnoses including:

• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Developmental delays
• Sensory processing challenges
• Fine motor delays
• ADHD
• Down syndrome
• Feeding concerns
• Other pediatric developmental diagnoses

Services are provided in:

• Outpatient clinic
• Local daycare centers
• Community settings (as needed)

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Occupational Therapist License (or eligibility)
• NBCOT Certification
• Pediatric experience preferred (new graduates with pediatric fieldwork are encouraged to apply)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Reliable transportation for travel to local treatment locations
