Senior AccountantCooperDouglas is partnering with a real estate investment firm in Solana Beach, California in hiring their next Senior Accountant. The firm manages approximately $2 billion in assets under management throughout the Western and Southwestern United States. The ideal candidate will bring a strong general accounting foundation, comfort with treasury operations and intercompany complexity, and the ability to thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where ownership and initiative are expected.Key Responsibilities• Manage treasury functions across the firm's portfolio of investment entities.• Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.• Prepare and review account reconciliations, including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other balance sheet accounts.• Post monthly depreciation, prepayment, payroll and lease journals.• Post and release accrued expenditures and manage reconciliation of accrual balance.• Review doubtful debts provision with the studio accountants at month end close.• Execute intercompany accounting between the family office platform and multiple related legal entities• Contribute to the buildout and standardization of accounting processes, policies, and workflows under new leadership.• Operate across a complex, multi-entity structure in a fast-moving, deal-oriented environment.• Partner with the VP of Accounting and the broader finance team to support the firm's continued growth and operational needs.Qualifications• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong general ledger foundation.• Yardi experience strongly preferred — the firm operates entirely on Yardi.• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple entities with significant intercompany activity.• Property accounting experience is a plus but not required.• Comfort operating in a lean, entrepreneurial setting where adaptability and self-direction matter.• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• CPA or CPA-track is a plus.CompensationBase salary: $95,000 – $125,000, commensurate with experience.Annual bonus target: 10%.Onsite five days per week in Solana Beach, CA, with potential for hybrid flexibility in the future.
