- Assists WOC Nurses (WOCN) with wound care needs on inpatient units. Collaborates with Inpatient Wound Care Team to provide clinical support to bedside staff.
- Collaborates with WOCN and bedside staff to support local workflows, including prevention rounding and implementation of HAPI bundle.
- Assists with monitoring wound progression and healing. Performs simple wound care treatments. Escalates wound concerns to WOCN team.
- Assists with maintaining wound care equipment. Utilizes technology to support HAPI prevention, wound identification and wound healing.
- Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with hospital standards. Demonstrates appropriate emergency and patient safety procedures.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider within 30 days of hire.
