Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) specialty position located in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized nursing services in a high-acuity cardiac surgery unit within a busy medical facility. The candidate will support multiple advanced procedures, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift with 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN License, BLS certification, 3 years of relevant experience in operating room open heart procedures, and minimum of 0 years of additional experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Extensive expertise and experience in the RN Circulator role for cardiac surgery procedures. Proficiency in scrub/first assist skills is preferred but not mandatory.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit has 6 operating rooms dedicated to cardiac surgeries including CABG, valve replacements, VAD insertions, TAVR, and other advanced cardiovascular procedures. The hospital provides scrubs and follows strict surgical attire policies. Cases are highly efficient and procedure volumes are significant, emphasizing the need for experienced personnel. Orientation will include unit guidelines and policies.
