We are looking for an experienced Controller to support financial operations for a long-term contract position based in Dallas, Texas. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting specialist who can manage reporting accuracy, maintain strong documentation practices, and oversee core financial processes in a fast-paced environment. The role will focus on financial statement preparation, inventory-related accounting, and the organization of critical financial records.

This is a 2-3 month contract position.

100% ONSITE 5 days a week in Dallas, TX 75247

Interim Controller (contract position):

Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end close activities, ensuring accounts are reconciled accurately and reporting deadlines are met consistently.

• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and supporting schedules with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Manage inventory accounting processes, including cost tracking and the application of standard costing methods.

• Maintain depreciation schedules and ensure fixed asset records are updated and properly documented.

• Organize, compile, scan, and maintain financial and operational documents to support audit readiness and internal recordkeeping.

• Review accounting data within systems such as NetSuite and Sage to help maintain reliable financial records and reporting consistency.

• Support internal controls by verifying documentation, reviewing transactions, and helping resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Demonstrated experience in a Controller or senior-level accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and financial statement preparation.
• Hands-on experience with inventory accounting and standard costing principles.
• Proficiency with accounting platforms such as NetSuite and Sage Software.
• Ability to prepare and analyze balance sheets, depreciation schedules, and related financial reports.
• Experience compiling, organizing, and scanning business documents with strong attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of general accounting practices and financial documentation standards.
