Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery provides exceptional patient care in a high-volume maternity setting. Responsible for managing deliveries, postpartum care, and neonatal needs, ensuring safety and comfort for mothers and babies.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor laboring patients, providing timely interventions as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments following hospital protocols and patient needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and execute individualized care plans.
• Assist with C-sections and postpartum procedures, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Cover as charge nurse when trained, supervising staff and coordinating patient activities.
• Float to additional departments as qualified, supporting overall unit operations.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with current registration.
• Possess a minimum of five years recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Neonatal care.
• Certification in American Heart Association ACLS or BLS; NRP and AWHONN FHM required or RNC-EFM substitution.
• Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations and multitask effectively.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work 12-hour day shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to float to other departments as needed, with competence in additional clinical tasks.
