Assistant Project Manager

Assistant Project Manager – Electrical Construction We’re looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support ground‑up commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. This role is perfect for someone who’s ready to take the next step in their career and grow into a full Project Manager role. The ideal candidate will assist with planning, coordination, documentation, and communication across all phases of the project. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, field leadership, and clients to ensure the project stays on track with budget, schedule, and quality expectations. Responsibilities Support the Project Manager in overseeing full‑cycle electrical construction projects Assist with developing and maintaining project budgets, schedules, manpower plans, and procurement logs Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, vendors, and field teams Conduct site walks and help monitor safety, quality, and progress Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Track materials, equipment, and delivery schedules Support field supervisors and help ensure alignment with project goals Assist with project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation Qualifications 1–3+ years of experience supporting electrical scopes on ground‑up commercial and/or industrial projects Familiarity with project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.) Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills Understanding of electrical systems, construction sequencing, and code compliance Ability to work collaboratively with field teams, clients, and project stakeholders Why Join Us Work with a team that values craftsmanship, safety, and innovation Competitive compensation with opportunities for advancement Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match Paid time off, holidays, and continuing education support A culture that celebrates success, encourages growth, and invests in your development #J-18808-Ljbffr Jayco Talent
