About the Role

We are seeking a capable, collaborative Intermediate Software Developer to join our growing team. In this role you will own features end to end, from design discussion through to production, on cloud-based applications used daily by airline operations teams.

You will work across the stack with a strong focus on TypeScript, React, MongoDB, and AWS serverless technologies. This is the right role for someone who has a few solid years behind them, can work independently on well-defined problems, and is ready to start influencing how things are built rather than only building them.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features in scalable web applications using TypeScript
• Own features end to end, including estimation, implementation, testing, and release
• Build secure, robust front-end and back-end solutions using React and modern JavaScript tooling
• Contribute to MongoDB data models, queries, and indexing decisions
• Implement AWS serverless components (Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, Step Functions)
• Write and maintain automated tests as a normal part of delivery
• Review another developer's code and offer constructive, specific feedback
• Work directly with product and operational stakeholders to understand what the software actually needs to do
• Help support and troubleshoot production systems
• Suggest and drive improvements to existing systems, tooling, and development processes

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of professional software development experience
• Solid working experience with React and TypeScript
• Practical experience with MongoDB or another NoSQL database, including writing efficient queries
• Hands-on experience building or maintaining applications on AWS, ideally serverless
• Comfortable writing automated tests and familiar with testing practices
• Some exposure to CI/CD pipelines and day-to-day production operations
• Able to take a defined feature and carry it to completion with limited supervision
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team
• Willing to take initiative, ask the right questions, and make sensible decisions on your own

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certifications (for example, AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect Associate)
• Exposure to distributed or event-driven systems
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Experience mentoring or onboarding a more junior developer
• Background in highly regulated or operationally critical systems
