What You Will Be Doing:

The Director, Supply Chain Execution is responsible for identifying, leading, and sustaining business process improvements across the Supply Chain Operations organization. This role serves as the central point of coordination for Supply Chain Operations priorities, helping connect planning, sourcing, inventory, production planning, logistics, customer service, finance, product, and shared service partners to resolve process gaps, improve execution, and deliver measurable operational outcomes.

The role also leads the governance and continuous improvement of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) processes, ensuring near-term execution risks and longer-range planning variances are visible, actioned, and communicated.

In addition, the role provides leadership oversight for Inventory Management, Production Planning, Retail Returns & Liquidation, and Custom Work Order Management (CWOM), ensuring these teams operate with clear priorities, strong accountability, and alignment to business needs.

Lead Supply Chain Integration and Operational Excellence

• Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional Supply Chain Operations initiatives and process improvement activities.
• Identify, prioritize, and lead operational improvement opportunities across Supply Chain Operations.
• Develop and maintain the Supply Chain Operations operational excellence roadmap.
• Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives from opportunity identification through implementation and sustainment.
• Establish project governance, success metrics, and benefits realization plans.
• Drive organizational adoption and sustainability of process improvements through effective change management.
• Coordinate stakeholders and resources required to support successful initiative delivery.

Lead Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Governance

• Lead execution and continuous improvement of the monthly IBP process.
• Coordinate Finance, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Shared Services participants.
• Consolidate demand, supply, inventory, and financial assumptions into an integrated business view.
• Prepare executive-level summaries, recommendations, and decision requirements.
• Facilitate executive planning reviews and ensure accountability for resulting actions.
• Enhance IBP governance, metrics, and process effectiveness.

Lead Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE)

• Establish and manage a near-term S&OE process focused on the current month and quarter.
• Monitor short-term demand, supply, inventory, and service performance.
• Facilitate resolution of execution issues impacting revenue, inventory, customer service, or supply continuity.
• Coordinate recovery plans and corrective actions across operational teams.
• Escalate critical execution risks and constraints to leadership.
• Ensure short-term execution decisions remain aligned with longer-term planning objectives.

Provide Leadership Oversight for Inventory Management and Inventory Health

• Provide leadership, direction, and accountability for the Inventory Management function.
• Review inventory health, working capital performance, and excess & obsolete inventory.
• Guide inventory optimization and reduction strategies.
• Oversee retailer returns and liquidation programs.
• Ensure inventory disposition activities follow approved governance and business processes.

Provide Leadership Oversight for Production Planning, CWOM, and Supply Execution

• Provide leadership and direction for the Production Planning organization.
• Oversee Production Planning, open order management, CWOM, and VAS activities through the Production Planning Manager.
• Ensure supplier execution remains aligned with business priorities.
• Review ETD performance, supply constraints, and execution risks.
• Ensure production planning and CWOM priorities support inventory and service objectives.

Manage Direct & Indirect Resources

• Provide leadership, coaching, development, and performance management for direct reports.
• Align organizational resources to business priorities.
• Develop talent and organizational capabilities.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Skills Needed to Be Successful in This Role:

• Operational excellence and practical continuous improvement methods.
• Program/project management and cross-functional governance.
• Executive-level reporting, KPI development, variance analysis and risk communication.
• Practical, hands-on operator who can implement improvements with teams rather than relying only on textbook methodology.

• Role is intended to integrate and govern planning and operational execution processes; Demand Planning and Supply Planning functional ownership remain with the respective planning leaders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, Operations Management or equivalent experience.
• 8 + years of progressive supply chain leadership experience.
• Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and/or S&OP process management.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent continuous improvement certification.
• Inventory management and working capital optimization.
• Supply planning, production planning and supplier order execution.
• Ability to travel domestically as required up 30-40%.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Consumer-goods experience.
• PMP, ACP, CSM or equivalent project/program management certification.

In Massachusetts and New York, the standard base pay range for this role is $150,000.00 -$180,000.00 annually. This base pay range is specific to Massachusetts/ New York and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
