With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States. About the Position of Automotive Mechanic As Mavis's leaders in undercar repairs, Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles. They perform undercar repairs such as brakes, struts, and shocks, complete state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must possess 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates ability to perform the duties. Must possess an extensive toolbox of personal tools for undercar repairs. Preferred qualifications: State inspection license(s). ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5). Physical demands: The role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, pulling, reaching, and performing repeated movements associated with vehicle maintenance and repair.
