Data Processing Specialist - Mailing and Variable Data

Job Summary: The Data Processing Specialist - Mailing & Variable Data is responsible for receiving, validating, transforming, and preparing incoming customer data for use in high-volume direct mail and card production. This role ensures that all data meets postal regulations, customer specifications, and production requirements prior to release to manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, review, and process incoming customer data files for direct mail and variable data production.
- Interpret customer specifications, job tickets, and production capabilities to ensure accurate data setup.
- Format, normalize, and integrate customer-supplied data into approved mailing-ready formats.
- Perform address hygiene, merge/purge, deduplication, postal presort, and file creation.
- Prepare and review data proofs, address samples, and variable data layouts for approval.
- Collaborate with production and customer service teams to resolve data issues.
- High School diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in the printing or direct mail industry
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Windows operating systems
- Experience with mailing software such as BCC, Satori, Quadient, Window Book, or Pitney Bowes preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization.

- Effective time-management skills; dependable and able to work productively with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and team building abilties
