About the Role:

A well-established family law firm in Dallas, Texas, is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join its growing legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with at least 3 years of family law experience who is passionate about helping clients navigate complex and sensitive legal matters, including divorce, child custody, domestic violence, and financial disputes.

The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, develop effective legal strategies, represent clients in court proceedings, and negotiate favorable outcomes in emotionally challenging situations. This role offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated, high-net-worth family law matters while delivering personalized legal representation in a collaborative environment.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Dallas, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage family law cases involving contested divorce, child custody, child support, domestic violence, and related disputes.
• Advise clients on their legal rights, available options, and appropriate strategies based on their individual circumstances.
• Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate and other complex financial assets, during divorce proceedings.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and court orders.
• Represent clients at court hearings and other legal proceedings.
• Negotiate settlements involving divorce, custody arrangements, property division, support obligations, and enforcement matters.
• Advise clients on prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, and related family law issues.
• Handle enforcement proceedings involving child support, custody orders, and other court-ordered obligations.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies for complex family law matters.
• Manage a high-volume caseload while ensuring deadlines, court requirements, and client expectations are met.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys, partners, and paralegals to move cases efficiently through the litigation process.
• Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, professionalism, and personalized legal guidance.
• Prepare cases for negotiation, mediation, hearings, and trial as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school, with strong academic credentials.
• Active license to practice law in Texas; candidates awaiting bar examination results are not eligible.
• Minimum of 3 years of family law experience.
• Experience handling divorce, child custody, child support, domestic violence, and related family law matters.
• Experience with real estate issues involving marital property division is required.
• Strong knowledge of family law litigation, court procedures, and legal documentation.
• Experience representing clients in contested proceedings and negotiating settlements.
• Excellent legal research, drafting, analytical, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, particularly in emotionally sensitive or high-pressure situations.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Strong judgment, empathy, professionalism, and commitment to client service.
• A criminal justice background is an advantage.
• Must reside in the Dallas metropolitan area or be willing to commute to Dallas.
