Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist

Job Description

Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists are allied health professionals responsible for performing diagnostic examinations at the request or direction of an Interventional Cardiologist during invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and/or peripheral vascular study procedures. Through subjective data collection and recording, the technologist obtains information to establish a correct anatomical and physiological diagnosis for each patient.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic examinations as directed by the Interventional Cardiologist.
• Collect and record subjective data for accurate diagnosis.
• Assist in various invasive and noninvasive cardiology procedures.
• Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of medical records.
• Provide exceptional patient care and support throughout procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of an Associate Degree or graduation from an approved Cardiovascular Training Program or an accredited Allied Health Program.
• Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in the cardiovascular specialty.
• Must obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

Schedule

This position requires shifts from 7 AM to 5:30 PM with a call commitment of 1 weeknight and 1 weekend per month.
