About the Role:

The Grill Cook plays a critical role in our K - 12 Student Meal programs by preparing high-quality grilled food products that meet company standards and customer expectations. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all items are cooked to the correct temperature and consistency, maintaining both safety and quality. The Grill Cook will work closely with the production on school sites to ensure food is grilled efficiently, ensuring timely completion of orders while adhering to health and safety regulations. This role demands a strong understanding of food preparation techniques and the ability to operate and maintain grilling equipment properly. Ultimately, the Grill Cook contributes to the overall success of the K - 12 student meal program by delivering consistent, safe, and delicious grilled products.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working as a grill cook or in a similar food preparation role.
• Basic knowledge of food safety standards and proper cooking techniques.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Capability to follow detailed instructions and maintain consistent quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in food handling or food safety (e.g., ServSafe).
• Experience working in a manufacturing or large-scale food production environment.
• Familiarity with industrial kitchen equipment and maintenance procedures.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing production demands and schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food items on the grill according to standardized recipes and company guidelines.
• Monitor grill temperatures and cooking times to ensure food safety and quality standards are met.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and surrounding work areas in compliance with health regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate food preparation and meet production schedules.
• Inspect raw ingredients for quality and freshness before cooking.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance on grilling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
