Healthcare AssistantAssists patients with healthcare needs who are ill or recovering from surgery or disease.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerforms other duties as assigned.Carries out care as delegated by the RN.Receives report from RN daily by 0830 or 2030 to coordinate plan of care related to ADL's. Documents all ADL's for each patient every shift.Answers lights, or intercom system to determine patients' needs.Serves and collects food trays and feeds patients requiring help.Transports patients or assists patients to walk.Runs errands, and direct visitors.Participates in admission/discharge activities.Accurately documents the care provided to patient during shift.Adheres to infection prevention strategies.Stock rooms with supplies. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
