Computed Tomography Technologist

Become a vital part of a hospital team in Troy, NY as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will accurately follow physician scanning instructions, administer contrast agents, and operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic imaging for emergency, ICU, and inpatient populations. The CT unit is located within the Emergency Department and supports a busy, 40+ bed ER.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Computed Tomography.
• New York state radiologic technologist license with IV contrast injection privileges.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 3-4 years of CT experience. Must be 100% independent and competent performing all CT exams except cardiac studies.
• Experience working independently with an imaging aide in a high-acuity setting such as emergency department, ICU, or inpatient units.
• Experience with Philips Brilliance 64-slice CT scanner and Epic electronic medical record preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a Level I/II or high-volume emergency department environment.
• Competence with contrast administration protocols and patient monitoring during CT procedures.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 23:00–07:00.
• Workdays: Sunday through Thursday.
• Primary patient population: mainly Emergency Department patients with some ICU and inpatient exams.
• Work independently with support from an imaging aide.

As a CT technologist in this role, you will provide timely diagnostic imaging that directly supports emergency and inpatient care decisions. Your independent performance of CT studies will contribute to patient throughput and clinical outcomes in a high-acuity hospital setting.
