Job Summary

Join the Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation, a JCAHO accredited 73-bed facility located in Tuba City, Arizona. This corporation serves as a vital referral center for the western regions of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations, providing comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services to a vast 4,400 square mile area. The facility offers a wide range of specialties including orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, and urological procedures, with a significant portion of surgeries being ambulatory.

As an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse, you will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients of all ages within a dynamic and culturally rich environment. The Tuba City community is uniquely diverse, serving Native American tribes such as the Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute, alongside Anglo, Hispanic, and African American residents.

This role requires a professional who can independently perform a variety of complex nursing care procedures. You will be guided by physician's orders, established standards of care, and hospital policies, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes and supporting individuals and their families throughout their care journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for critically ill patients in the ICU.
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage advanced life support equipment as required.
  • Implement and evaluate patient care interventions, adjusting plans based on patient response and physician orders.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records and documentation.
  • Adhere strictly to all hospital policies, procedures, and professional nursing standards of practice.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, demonstrating critical thinking and clinical expertise.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute or sub-acute facility.
  • Demonstrated experience working in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.
