Area Manager
This position is responsible for the sale, renewal, and production of a portion of the branch's landscape management work, selling enhancement work on its contract maintenance jobs, and ensuring the satisfaction of its customers. In addition, this position must develop the supervisors and others under its management. Satisfactory performance at this level is indicated by a high renewal rate, an acceptable volume of enhancement sales, and low, negative turnover. Area managers must cooperate with fellow area managers in their branch to ensure that the branch's goals are met. They must also cooperate with others at the same level in the company to help meet the overall objective of the organization.
Responsibilities include communicating the company's philosophies, policies, and procedures to field managers, clearly communicating the branch's annual and long-term goals to those supervised, developing a clear understanding of the hourly and cost budgets for each of your jobs, preparing seasonal job packages, reviewing all facets of your assigned jobs, monitoring the quality of our service, managing all sales activity related to the renewal of existing landscape management contracts, scheduling production activities of assigned crews, helping to maintain a branch facility that reflects our corporate image, and prospecting for leads.
