This is a high growth, high visibility area with plenty of opportunities to enhance your skillset and build your career.Your key responsibilitiesOur GenAI Developer will be responsible for designing and optimizing applications that leverage modern web frameworks and AI models. You can expect to support government clients with delivering the latest data science and big data technologies and practices to design, build and maintain scalable and robust solutions that unify, enrich and analyze data from multiple sources. You’ll be responsible for implementing generative AI models, working with AI/ML engineers, developing web applications and ensuring quality and product excellence.Skills and attributes for successExperience with JavaScript and frameworks like React, Next.js or similarExperience with back-end development (Python, FastAPI or similar)Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Vercel etc.Experience developing, maintaining and improving web applications using modern frameworks (React, Next.js, Svelte, Vue, Remix/React Router, etc.)Understanding of generative AI models (openAI, Anthropic, open-source LLMs) into web-based productsExperience working with designers, product managers, AI/ML engineers to create intelligent user experienceExperience writing tests, participating in code reviewsDesigning, architecting, and developing solutions leveraging big data technology (Open Source, Hortonworks, AWS or Microsoft) to ingest, process and analyze large, disparate data sets to exceed business requirementsUnifying, enriching, and analyzing customer data to derive new insights and opportunitiesLeveraging in-house data platforms as needed and recommending and building new data platforms/solutions as required to exceed business requirementsClearly communicating findings, recommendations, and opportunities to improve data systems and solutionsDemonstrating deep understanding of and ability to teach data science, concepts, tools, features, functions, and benefits of different approaches to apply themSeeking out information to learn about emerging methodologies and technologiesClarifying problems by driving to understand the true issueLooking for opportunities for improving methods and outcomesApplying data driven approach (KPIs) in tying technology solutions to specific business outcomesCollaborating, influencing, and building consensus through constructive relationships and effective listeningSolving problems by incorporating data into decision makingTo qualify for the role, you must haveMust have bachelor's degreeMust be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret ClearanceAt least 1-2+ years of experience with the following:Modern web development (JavaScript/TypeScript etc.)Backend development (Node.js, Python, FastAPI or similarFamiliar with integrating generative AI models into applications (APIs or fine-tuned models)Familiar with deploying applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Vercel, etc.)Must be comfortable working in-person as neededUnderstanding statistical modeling as well as ETL, data ingestion/cleansing and engineering skillsHands-on experience with various big data technologies in one or more ecosystems (Hadoop, AWS or Microsoft)Ideally, you’ll also haveBachelor’s Degree or above in mathematics, information systems, statistics, computer science, or related disciplinesExperience with vector databases and AI inference optimizationsExperience with open-source AI and web projectsExperience with RAG or fine-tuning modelsThorough business understanding of data science application and ability to communicate with key decision-makersCommunication is essential, must be able to listen and understand the question and develop and deliver clear insightsDue to the nature of our work in the Government and Public Sector, work may be required to be completed at client, EY and/or contractor sites. Our goal is to assign professionals to projects within a commutable distance of their work location office. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $76,200 to $125,500. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $91,400 to $142,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model.
