Adjunct Professor - Learning Frameworks

Title Adjunct Faculty – Teacher Education Location Gainesville campus, North Central Texas College. Job Summary North Central Texas College is seeking adjunct instructors to teach learning frameworks throughout the academic year. This is an adjunct position for face‑to‑face/hybrid teaching only. Candidates must be able to teach in a college classroom on campus during the day and/or evenings. No online positions will be available. Special Requirements Subject to criminal background check. Resume, cover letter, & unofficial transcripts are required in addition to application. Responsibilities and Duties Planning and teaching undergraduate courses in learning frameworks. Treating students and colleagues with respect. Active involvement in issues of institutional effectiveness, including student learning outcomes, program‑level outcomes, and marketable skill achievement. Focusing teaching and outreach efforts on student success. Maintaining accurate and complete course records as required by North Central Texas College. Participating in planning, implementing, and evaluating assigned courses. Working effectively within a group or independently, student‑oriented, and able to meet deadlines. Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the needs of the department and the institution. Required Education Candidate must have a Masters of Education (M.Ed) or Master’s degree in Psychology or counseling or related field. Required Skills & Abilities Excellent oral and written communication skills. Exhibition of respect and professionalism in a spirit of collegiality. Ability to promote an effective environment for learning in lecture experiences. Ability to teach students using a variety of teaching methods. Knowledge of online delivery methods. Preferred Skills & Abilities Experience teaching or working with college students is preferred. Experience with computer LMS systems is preferred. Required Experience Prior teaching experience required. Compensation Pay rate – $680 per load unit (or credit hour).
