Allstate Sweeping Inc. is seeking to hire an experienced and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. We are seeking a motivated individual who can help diagnose, repair & maintain our fleet of Street Sweeping trucks. We would love to add someone seeking a long-term position where their skills & experience are valued in our small family-owned company. Pay rate will be based upon experience & knowledge.

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain current street sweeper fleet.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, air, and mechanical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs on various components.
• Complete DOT and brake inspections.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work effectively with fellow mechanics, office staff & drivers.
• Be available for occasional emergency after hours calls (2-hour minimum paid). 
• Schedule is Monday through Friday with occasionally needed weekend work.

Requirements: 

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a heavy equipment diesel mechanic preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and air systems.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues independently.
• Must have own tools.
• Must be self-motivated, dependable, and organized.
• Must be honest and professional.
• Qualified to perform DOT and brake inspections.
• CDL preferred, but not required.
