Install,maintain,andrepaircommercialandelectricalsystems,wiring,equipment,andlightfixtures,ensuringworkiscompletedinaccordancewith,NEC,drawings,andspecifications.TYPICALDAILYDUTIES&RESPONSIBILITIES
MaintainaSafety-Firstmindset. Layout,install,repair,orreplaceelectricalwiring,equipment,components,andfixturesusinghandandpowertoolsbasedonjobspecifications,electricaldrawings,andlocalcodes. Inspectandtroubleshootelectricalsystems,equipment,andcomponentstoidentifyhazards,defects,andtheneedforadjustmentorrepair,andtoensurecompliancewithelectricalcodesandsafetyrules. Testelectricalsystemsandcontinuityofcircuitsinelectricalwiring,equipment,andfixturestoensurecompatibilityandsafetyofsystem. Useavarietyoftoolsandequipmentsuchaspowerconstructionequipment,measuringdevices,powertools,andtestingequipment,includingcircuittracers,voltmeters,megger,proximitytesters,andohmmeters. Installpanelboards,transformers,motorcontrolcenter,andmotors. Layoutandworkfromladders,aeriallifts,scaffolds,androofstoinstall,maintainorrepairelectricalwiring,equipment,outlet/junctionboxes,fixturesandfixturewhips. Placeconduit,pipesortubing,insidedesignatedpartitions,walls,orotherconcealedareas,andpullinsulatedwiresorcablesthroughtheconduittocompletecircuitsbetweenboxes. Performterminationstocircuitbreakers,transformers,orothercomponents. Digtrenchestolayconduit;moveandliftheavyobjects. Directandinstructapprenticesandhelperstoinstall,maintain,orrepairelectricalwiring,equipment,andfixtures. Performalladditionalneededtasksonajobsiteduringpausesinelectricalwork.
