Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Travel experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Must have post-procedural cardiac experience (cath lab, ablations, open heart). Must be able to read and interpret telemetry and document it appropriately.

Preferred Skills/Experience: PCU and stepdown experience preferred.

Special Requests: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, patient ratio, and whether the facility was a teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Previous employees may be considered only with St. Luke’s Health System approval for an exception. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job. Block scheduling is not guaranteed; maximum of 5 shifts in a row.

Unit Details: Uses Epic. 3rd-floor telemetry has a cardiac/post-procedural focus including post-op day 1 open heart, TAVRs, ablations, post-caths, pacemakers, and med tele. 7th-floor telemetry includes general tele, post-procedural overflow, CHF, sepsis, electrolyte imbalances, and post-stroke patients. Common drips include set-rate cardiac infusions, amiodarone, cardizem, dopamine, and dobutamine; heparin and rare insulin drips are used, with insulin training available if needed. Remote telemetry techs are located on the 3rd floor; nurses are expected to read telemetry twice per shift. RT is available on each floor and manages high flow, BiPAP, and CPAP; RNs may be asked to assist as needed.

Shift & Scheduling: Schedules are typically built 6 weeks at a time. Travelers are asked to stay flexible to help fill permanent scheduling gaps. 5-6 weekend shifts in each 6-week schedule (Saturday/Sunday for days). May be asked to work holidays, but not every holiday. Call not typically required.

Floating Requirements: Telemetry 3 and 7 pool staffing together, and travelers are expected to float between the 3rd- and 7th-floor units as needed. Travelers are first to float and may be floated to other MS, MS/Tele, or Tele units within the hospital and to sister facilities in Meridian and Nampa.
