Medical Director (DVM) League City, TX
A veterinary hospital in League City, TX is seeking a dedicated Medical Director to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian looking to provide high-quality care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality medical and surgical care to patients
- Lead and mentor veterinary team members to promote a positive and collaborative environment
- Ensure compliance with state and federal veterinary laws, including proper maintenance of controlled substance records
- Partner with practice management to maintain consistent standards of care and operational excellence
- Assist in resolving medical-related client concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Support continuous improvement in medical protocols, quality assurance, and workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the state of Arizona
- DEA license required
- Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience; leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to motivate and lead a team with fairness and collaboration
