Diesel Mechanic
Venture Dynamics is looking for diesel mechanics. This position offers motivated workers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced shipyard environment. Pay will be up to $32.00 per hour.
Job Description & Requirements
Maintains diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance. Correcting vehicle deficiencies, making adjustments and alignments, keeping records, identifying worn and damaged parts, having parts stocked when needed. Repair work includes the repairing, overhauling or rebuilding systems of the following: diesel and gasoline engines, other types of internal combustion engines, automatic and non-automatic transmissions, heavy duty line systems, hydraulic utility systems and controls. Overhaul and repair combustions powered heavy duty vehicles and heavy mobile equipment such as cranes and forklifts. Trace and locate defects and causes of mechanical problems using a wide range of diagnostic and test equipment. Determine the type and extent of necessary repairs. Install, repair, maintain, test, and adjust fixed and semi-fixed industrial equipment and machinery such as cranes, pumps, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery.
Additional
Must have at least 5 years' experience in diesel engine repair and or outside machinist. Knowledge of WAF's a plus. Must be able to complete work with little guidance from supervisor. Basic knowledge of standard items a plus. Must have basic knowledge of shop equipment. Works well with others.
Requirements
Must have a minimum of 5 years shipyard experience. Must have own trade tools. Must be a US citizen. Must be able to pass a drug screening. Must have reliable transportation. Need to pass a background check and drug screen.
