Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a highly regarded Level 1 Trauma hospital located in Hartford, Connecticut. This role involves providing post-operative recovery care for patients across multiple specialties within an ambulatory surgery setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in the PACU environment, preferably within a Level 1 Trauma hospital, and possess the ability to work flexible shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts; 40 hours per week. Shifts may be scheduled as five days a week, eight-hour shifts or four days a week, ten-hour shifts.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, experience in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), preferably within a Level 1 Trauma hospital or ambulatory surgery PACU setting, and 1 year of healthcare experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Main PACU or Level 1 Trauma Hospital Ambulatory Surgery PACU experience; ICU skills are not required.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role involves caring for patients recovering from anesthesia in a fast-paced, intensivist environment, adhering to hospital protocols and ensuring patient safety and comfort during recovery.
