Business Analyst III — Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Our client, a public sector agency in Austin, TX, is seeking a senior-level Business Analyst to support software development initiatives focused on improving outcomes for the organization it serves.
What You'll Do
- Elicit requirements through JAD sessions, interviews, document analysis, surveys, use cases, and workflow analysis
- Translate findings into business/functional requirements, use cases, user stories, SRS documents, wireframes, and mockups
- Mentor peers on BA best practices
- Manage change control and track requirements status using Jira and Modern Requirements
What You Bring
- 8+ years eliciting requirements and writing system requirements
- 8+ years working within software development life cycles (SDLCs)
- 8+ years in business process re-engineering / process flow improvement
- 8+ years developing user stories and use cases
- 8+ years designing UX-aligned mockups/wireframes
- 5+ years of strong communication, facilitation, writing, and organizational skills
- Experience with a government or education-sector client, Jira, and/or Modern Requirements is a plus

- Location: Austin, TX — Hybrid (up to 80–100% remote)
- Schedule: Full-time, core hours 9:00 AM–3:30 PM CT
- Contract term: 09/01/2026 – 08/31/2027
