This position plans, leads, facilitates, and instructs for maximum student learning and socialization in a university classroom. Meets established outcomes based on daily lesson plans and capacity to master learning objectives. Provides activities designed to create interest and enthusiasm for personal grasp of knowledge. This position calls for an individual with elementary and/or middle school teaching experience in the subject of science. QualificationsExperience with individuals with disabilities is required. Previous experience in special education is preferred. Experience in group homes, volunteering, and interacting with special education students is valuable. Bachelor's degree preferred. The ideal candidate is habitually upbeat, approachable, and easy to talk to. Knowledgeable about special education students instructional needs. Able to maintain emotional control in stressful situations is a must.
