Job Description You are responsible for everything that happens during your shift – cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations. You must set the example and follow all policy and procedures 100% of the time, expecting the same from your crew. Staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, work to a schedule, image and adherence to standards, advertising, profitability. Excellent customer service, attendance and punctuality, transportation to/from work, store cleanliness, marketing and maintaining a perfect image. Qualifications General job duties for all store team members. You must be 18 years of age or older. Operate all equipment. Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler. Prepare product. Receive and process telephone orders. Take inventory and complete associated paperwork. Clean equipment and facility approximately daily. Training Orientation and training provided on the job. Communication Skills Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person. Essential Functions / Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator). Must be able to make correct monetary change. Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders. Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed. Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. Work Conditions Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks. In‑store temperatures range from 36 to over 90 degrees in some work areas. Sudden changes in temperature in work area and while outside. Fumes from food odors. Exposure to cornmeal dust. Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500 degrees or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts. Sensing Talking and hearing on phone. Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks. Depth perception. Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Temperament The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical Requirements Standing: Most tasks performed from a standing position, walking short distances. Sitting: Paperwork usually completed in an office at a desk or table. Lifting: Bulk product deliveries made twice a week or more, unloaded by hand truck, cases up to 50 pounds and 3' x 1.5', items stacked up to 72 high. Carrying: Large cans (3 lb 7 oz) from workstation to storage shelves; pizza sauce (30 lb) from storage to front of store; trays of pizza dough (12 lb each) carried three at a time. Pushing/Pulling: Trays on dollies (24–30) requiring up to 7.5 pounds force. Climbing: Infrequent navigation of stairs or climbing a ladder to change prices or perform maintenance. Additional Job Details Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist at pizza assembly station; up to 30–45 seconds per position repeatedly during the day. Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas. Reaching: Continuous up, down, forward; above 72 inches occasionally for oven controls and price sign changes. Hand Tasks: Eye‑hand coordination essential; frequent use of forearms and wrists for shaping dough and using cutting tools. Additional Information Machines, Tools, Equipment, Work Aids – Team Members may be required to utilize pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter and pizza peel. Driving Specific Job Duties Deliver product by car to door of customer. Deliver flyers and door hangers. Requirements for Driving Valid driver's license with safe driving record meeting company standards. Access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery. Navigation skills to read a map and locate addresses within designated delivery area. Ability to navigate adverse terrain, multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product. Physical Demands for Delivery Carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing duties. Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area; several deliveries per shift. Travel between store and delivery vehicle and from vehicle to customer location. Navigate five or more flights of stairs during delivery of product. Work Conditions for Delivery Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when delivering product, driving and couponing. Far vision and night vision required for driving.
