About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified IMC RN in Louisville, Kentucky, 40201!

• Provide direct patient care on a 23-bed PCU/Stepdown unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, managing diagnoses such as laryngectomy, PE, DVT, CHF, COPD, AMS, afib with RVR, GI bleed, pneumonia, and flap procedures
• Perform and manage clinical skills including BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, wound/skin care, blood product administration, and central line care
• Administer and monitor IV drips including milrinone and heparin
• Utilize cardiac monitoring and telemetry, including remote telemetry monitoring systems
• Document patient care using Cerner EMR and operate unit equipment including Plum ICU Medical IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed; participate in weekend rotation (at least every third weekend) and holiday rotation as applicable

• Active RN license valid in Kentucky
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of overall RN experience; at least 6 months of neuro experience required
• Proficiency with skills including BiPAP, trach care, chest tube management, telemetry, central line care, and IV drip administration

• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Familiarity with Plum ICU Medical IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Philips monitoring systems
• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers considered with manager approval)

• Work in a well-supported unit with access to PCA/CNA support, Charge RN, 24/7 Respiratory Therapy, Hospitalist coverage, and a dedicated IV/VAT team
