Lead Senior Admissions Processor

Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, the lead senior admissions processor position is responsible for organizing the team of processors and senior processors in communicating and maintaining personalized contact with a unique population of incomplete applicants, counseling them on how to complete their admissions file and helping them overcome various roadblocks to their enrollment. Additionally, the position will be required to coordinate and conduct the assessment of student files and meeting with walk-in students/parents with the ultimate goal of planning out pathways for denied and deferred applicants; and focusing on counseling the student on appropriate steps towards their educational/future life goals. The position will be expected to not only lead and assure quality customer service in-person, but they will also be expected to independently monitor, analyze, and post frequently asked questions in order to continually improve customer interaction and resources for the Office of Admissions. These improvements could include changes to admission publications, updating the Enrollment Services Call Center Knowledge Base, and proposing admission policy changes to upper management, as required.

Location: Our campus is located at 1601 Maple Street, Carrollton, GA 30118. Faculty and staff members are expected to be physically present on campus as needed to support the in-person educational experience and on-campus vitality at the University of West Georgia. Depending upon teaching assignments and student demand, this could include the Carrollton or Newnan campuses.

Responsibilities:

• Admissions Processing: Serve as the Admissions Processor Senior Lead by leading a team of processors and senior processors in the quality assurance of independently monitoring and analyzing frequently asked questions and other areas of need, training other Admissions team members on the CRM ticketing system, and coordinating changes to online web presence and print publications to address determined issues.
• Supervision: Lead the Admissions processing team in forward facing customer service to prospective applicants who visit the Admissions Office, to include assisting with the maintenance of the CRM ticketing system knowledge base, managing ticket follow-up and student counseling and escalated questions via walk-ins, emails, and phone calls from prospective applicants. Provide leadership with other Operations team members in the area of customer service and incomplete follow-up.
• Funnel Management: Manage a population of freshman and transfer applicants process from application to ensuring enrollment. This would include: entering applications, following up with incomplete applications, calculating freshman and transfer GPAs, entering application decisions, and ensuring enrollment through consistent counseling and work with on-campus partners to ensure enrollment. Independently develop individual pathways for denied and deferred Applicants; and counseling students on appropriate steps towards their educational goals with UWG and transfer partners.
• Other Duties as Assigned: Other duties as assigned by Director of Admissions or other executive administrators.

Required Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Other Required Qualifications: A minimum of four years experience in a administrative support position. Experience in data entry and keyboarding. Experience with providing excellent customer service and handling the various complexities involved in a high volume office setting is preferred. At least one year experience utilizing Banner within a higher education setting is highly preferred. Applicants must be able to multitask in a fast-paced office environment with the ability to pay close attention to detail and prioritize important responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree.
• Preferred Experience: At least two years experience working in Undergraduate Admissions. Student supervisory experience.

Proposed Salary: $21.23 hourly. Paid on a bi-weekly basis.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

ABILITIES: Data entry experience; generating letters, processing and entering applicant information; simple mathematical calculations. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Plan and implement processing strategies around all prospective students. Participates in all processing and enrollment activities for all student types. Helps to develop processing plans through analysis, data, and needs of the Office of Admissions. Knowledgeable and skilled in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and other data processing tools. The position will additionally be responsible for completing data-entry and maintenance of a population of applicants utilizing all relevant technological platforms required to perform job duties, to include: entering freshman and transfer applications, generating letters, processing and entering freshman and transfer applicant decisions, and calculating freshman and transfer GPAs will be required as part of the effort to enroll students. The role will additionally be responsible for serving students in a face-to-face capacity by being on hand to talk to walk-in prospective students and respond to individual questions via telephone, email, and through the University's Customer Relations Management ticketing software.
