Mortgage Closing Specialist

About Unitas Unitas Funding is a direct lender for real estate investors nationwide, providing short-term financing for 1-4 family and multi-family acquisitions, ground-up construction, and development deals. The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Closing Specialist to manage our loan closing process from start to finish. In this role, you will work closely with originators, underwriters, and borrowers to ensure loans close accurately and on schedule, and you will maintain complete documentation through the post-closing process. Candidates from related fields such as title, legal, real estate, or banking are encouraged to apply; training will be provided. Responsibilities Loan closing: Review title commitments and legal documents, including notes, deeds of trust, and title policies, for accuracy and compliance. Confirm homeowners insurance is in place and prepare the funding memo in coordination with accounting. Quality control: Review each closing package prior to finalization, and organize and file all post-closing documents in accordance with company standards. Post-closing tracking: Monitor files after closing to confirm county recording, title policy issuance, and resolution of any outstanding items. Loan administration: Manage servicer onboarding, order payoffs, coordinate lien releases, and resolve post-closing issues as they arise. Qualifications Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously Clear, professional communication across internal teams and external parties Experience in loan closing, title, paralegal, or real estate work preferred, but not required Salary range: $60,000 - $100,000, with annual bonus potential Healthcare, disability, and life insurance 401(k) Comprehensive training and opportunities for professional growth Unitas Funding LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
