Job Description Lead Technologist Relocation Assistance Eligible for Qualified Technologists Work Location: Austin, TX (central) Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Department Highlights: Patient-Focused Team Cohesive and Friendly Environment Supportive and Encouraging Atmosphere Here is what you will need: Education: Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that is accredited by the Commission Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program. Certificates: Active certification with ARDMS OR ARRT (M). Current compliance with CME requirements Computer Skills: Knowledge of database software and RIS/PACS software, proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook. Current, non- restricted licensure instate of work location is required; Minimum of two years of supervisory experience preferred. Strong Desire to serve patients; Manages multiple projects and timelines with a sense of urgency and follow through; Maintains a calm, tactful demeanor when dealing with difficult situations; Forms strong working relationships within the team; Identifies additional tasks to be complete and willingly assist others; A Day in the Life of a Breast Sonographer Provide services and support for the following areas: Understands, promotes and demonstrates the “Solis Way” Produces high quality ultrasound images and obtain appropriate measurements for each exam Documents all applicable patient and procedure data consistently and correctly Explains procedures adequately to patients to maximize patient comfort and cooperation Appropriate monitoring during all phases of procedure with special care taken to insure patient emotional and physical well-being Assist and/or chaperones radiologist when they are performing ultrasound exams Assists radiologists during ultrasound biopsy procedures using appropriate sterile technique and universal precautions Maintains the ultrasound equipment for cleanliness and insures proper equipment maintenance and equipment safety Provides excellent patient care, communicates procedures and provides education on an as needed basis to new and existing clinical team members Effectively handles patient complaints as, evidenced by patient survey scores and escalates as necessary; Assists center director in ACR compliance as it relates to tracking, following up and credentials; Ensures compliance with all Policies and Procedures; Ensures supplies are available as needed to meet patient demands; Coordinates service and maintenance of equipment to ensure minimal downtime, as requested by center director Acts as a point of contact for physician offices requiring clinical information and responds to requests within 24 hours; Maintains confidentiality of patient and team member information 100% of the time. Other duties as assigned. Team Manages clinical team members on daily basis ensuring compliance with company policies, guidelines and procedures; Creates and maintains frequent communication and positive relationship with clinical team members as evidenced by surveys and turnovers; Monitors clinical staffing levels and ensures appropriate coverage; Participates in interviews and conducts onboarding orientation for new clinical team members; Communicates team member coaching and counseling opportunities to center Director; Completes incident reports on an as needed basis; Reports harassment and/or discrimination issues to center Director of HR within eight hours; Meets with center director on a weekly basis to review center activities and needs; Participates in performance evaluation discussion on an annual basis.
