Maintenance Technician ILocation: Irving, TX Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm Pay: $25.20 per hourPosition Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the reliable operation of building systems, facilities, machinery, and equipment. This is an entry-level maintenance role that works under direct supervision and focuses on performing scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing repairs to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.Key Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance and repair of facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, and building systems.Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and facility-related issues and perform corrective repairs.Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.Support building and facilities maintenance projects and initiatives.Coordinate and work with external contractors when necessary to complete maintenance activities.Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures while performing maintenance tasks.Required Experience:1-3 years of maintenance, facilities, or related technical experience preferred.Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems.Basic troubleshooting and repair experience within mechanical and/or electrical environments.Key Skills:Preventive and corrective maintenanceMechanical and electrical troubleshootingFacility and building systems maintenanceBlueprint and schematic interpretationRepair and maintenance best practicesProblem-solving and diagnostic skillsAbility to work under supervision in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Experience:Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or regulated facility environment.Previous experience coordinating with third-party service providers or contractors.Familiarity with facility maintenance programs and maintenance documentation.Education:High School Diploma or GED required.
