About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years of experience required, with adult critical care, emergency department, and transport experience. License: MD license required at submission. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, RRT. Must-Have: Must have completed at least one travel assignment. Description: RRT/CRT positions available. Local candidates within a 60-mile radius accepted. Weekly scheduling includes every other weekend and holidays as needed. Candidates must have experience in adult critical care, emergency departments, and transports. Must possess skills including aerosol setup, bag and mask, BiPAP, CPAP, and drawing arterial blood gases. Position requires the ability to interpret arterial blood gases and assist with intubation. Knowledge of respiratory distress syndrome and tracheostomy care/management is essential. Candidates are expected to have strong capabilities in troubleshooting high-pressure alarms and weaning from mechanical ventilation. Duties may involve collection of sputum specimens and transporting patients as necessary. Experience with charting systems is preferred. References from supervisory roles required to substantiate experience.
