Position Summary
The QMS Coordinator manages controlled documentation, coordinates audits, tracks corrective actions, maintains quality records and monitors quality system performance metrics. Working closely with all departments—including Senior Management, Sales, Purchasing, Operations Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Human Resources and Safety. The QMS Coordinator ensures quality processes are effectively implemented, maintained and continuously improved.
Salary Rate: $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Document Control
*Forms: Create and update forms using FoxIt software.
*Procedures: Generate and revise work instructions to match the current operation
and process parameters.
*Revision Control: Review and transfer documented information using QT9 Software
and DocuWare Software systems. Update procedures, work instructions and forms
listed in the master control list to maintain the current revision levels.
*Inventory: Maintain all department inventory lists and update them by working with
Department Supervisors to ensure the equipment needed for the processes are
reviewed and approved for purchase.
- Customer & Registrar Surveys:
*Business Records: Respond to customers about our business processes,
certifications and approvals. Provide documentation required to support
the contract terms and conditions.
*Material Compliance: Contact Suppliers when needed to update compliance
records (CMRT – Conflict Minerals Reporting, Critical Elements, REACH).
*Customer Portals: Respond to customer requests Assent Compliance, Ariba Portal,
Raytheon Portal, Honeywell HASP, Rolls-Royce Supply Risk Solutions, Etc.)
- Quality Management System (QMS):
*Quality Management System: Ensure continued compliance with industry standard
AS9100D / ISO 9001:2015.
*Monitor the corrective action system and track nonconformities. Provide support
to complete internal and external corrective actions within the QT9 software
system.
*Assist with collection of data for eight key processes indicators (KPI) to generate the
reports required for the Management Review and Continuous Improvement
activities.
*Provide support during customer and/or special process audits.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Computer skills – Basic level
Previous knowledge in Quality Management Systems and/or Special Process is preferred.
