Location: 200 State Ave Faribault, MN 55021-6345 Job Summary Allina Health, a not‑for‑profit health system in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, seeks a registered nurse for a permanent night shift. The role requires comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, and coordination across critical care units. Key Position Details 0.90 FTE (72 hours per two‑week pay period) 12‑hour permanent night shift (7:00pm–7:30am) Every 3rd weekend rotation and every 3rd holiday Cross‑trained to Medical‑Surgical, Special Care Unit, and Emergency Department; floats as needed Union Contract: MNA‑04‑District One RN‑RDS Job Description Registered nurses in this role are responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of patient health problems, establishing therapeutic relationships, and leading patient care across critical care departments. Nurses provide specialized care for severely ill or injured patients and may work in intensive care units or other critical care areas. Principle Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs Develop and modify plans of care based on outcomes, patient goals, and available resources Maintain education and competencies for high quality patient care Incorporate evidence‑based practice into care planning while adhering to current statutes, rules, and regulations Collaborate with family and patient to establish realistic, measurable outcomes that are age‑appropriate, culturally appropriate, and attainable Coordinate, collaborate, and delegate to ensure safe and effective care delivery Fulfill all organizational requirements Supplemental Roles Charge Nurse (when acting): Coordinate, delegate, and direct unit operation; collaborate with unit staff, leadership, and other disciplines Preceptor (when acting): Identify orientee learning needs, design learning experiences, and validate clinical competence of the orientee Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Associate's or Vocational degree 2 to 5 years RN experience; Med/Surgical experience at some regional sites Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required upon hire if working in state of MN Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree Critical care experience Licenses/Certifications Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association Current ALS certification from the American Red Cross Allina in‑house ACLS training within 60 days of hire Certified Critical Care RN – American Association of Critical‑Care Nurses (AACN) (preferred) PALS – Pediatric Advance Life Support – Allina Health required depending on site CMSRN Medical Surgical Nursing Certified (preferred) Physical Demands Medium Work: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy); up to 25 lbs. frequently. Pay Range Pay Range: $42.68 to $65.84 per hour. The base hourly pay varies based on experience, education, and union agreement. Shift, weekend, and other differentials may increase pay for certain shifts.
