Department Information
The responsibilities of this part-time adjunct instructor position include teaching quality courses for the English (ENG) program in the Department of English and World Languages. We are specifically looking for people who are qualified to teach First-Year Rhetoric and Writing.
Description of Job POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Adjunct Instructor of ENG will perform the following duties:
The selected candidate for this in-person, on-campus position will teach baccalaureate level courses in the English program in accordance with program needs.

Compensation $1,000 per credit hour up to 24 combined total credit hours for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters Supplemental Information

- preparing and presenting course materials according to department curricular needs;
- administering appropriate evaluations of student performance;
- preparing, administering, and grading assignments;
- holding office hours;
- assigning final grades.

Required:
- M.A. in English, Rhetoric, Communication, or related field, or Bachelor degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the field.
- At least one year of college-level teaching experience.
- Experience teaching rhetoric and writing courses at the college level.
- Experience teaching Speaking and Listening or Public Speaking at the college level
- Experience working with a diverse student and staff population.
