Overview Primary Care – Outpatient Practice Location: Southington, CT Position Type: Full Time EMR System: EPIC Up to $40,000 Signing Bonus Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary Sign‑on bonus Student loan assistance WRVU and Quality incentive plans Relocation assistance Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Pension plan matched tax‑sheltered annuity and Roth contributions Responsibilities Evaluate patients and treat acute and chronic illnesses Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests Involve patients and families in care and treatment decisions Create treatment plans and complete orders in patient charts Collaborate on improvements in care delivery with staff, physicians, and management Initiate appropriate specialty referrals Provide clinical information to the interdisciplinary team clearly and timely Ensure proper patient documentation is timely, accurate, and complete Work with practice management to ensure compliance with billing, coding, and CPT code assignment Achieve and maintain optimal patient access Provide interdepartmental medical consultation as requested Participate in the development of medical protocols and standard procedures Qualifications MD or DO with ABIM‑recognized internal medicine residency (minimum 3 years) or ABFM‑recognized family medicine residency (minimum 3 years) Licensure & Certifications Valid American Board certification in either internal medicine or family medicine, updated before expiration Valid and unrestricted Connecticut medical license BLS certification DEA registration and Controlled Substance Certificate EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran YNHHS is an equal opportunities employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Westerly Hospital
