.4 Substitute Coordinator

Lamoille Union Middle and High School and Green Mountain Technology & Career Center (GMTCC) are seeking applications for a .4 FTE (15 hours / week) Substitute Coordinator. This individual will coordinate coverage for the Middle School, High School and GMTCC as necessary. A successful coordinator should possess a range of skills to manage the process effectively and ensure smooth operations when staff members are absent. Key skills include: * Organizational Skills: Coordinating multiple schedules, tracking absences, and ensuring proper classroom coverage requires strong organization. * Attention to Detail: It's essential to avoid scheduling conflicts, track substitute availability, and ensure that substitutes have the resources and supports they need to be successful. * Communication Skills: Clear communication with teachers, substitutes, and administration is critical. The coordinator must convey expectations, provide instructions, and resolve issues efficiently. * Problem-Solving: Unexpected absences or last-minute changes require problem solving skills. * Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with substitute management software, school scheduling systems, and communication platforms. * Interpersonal Skills: Building relationships with substitutes, teachers, and administrators will help foster a cooperative environment.
