Sr Advanced Project Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTIONAs a Senior Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will lead end-to-end development and launch of complex engineering projects that combine hardware, Firmware, Software, and mechanical Engineering for our Building Automation Product Business. In this role, you’ll lead global cross-functional teams, manage project scope and execution, and deliver innovative solutions that improve safety, reliability, and efficiency for our customers. You will report directly to our Engineering Program Management Director, and you’ll work out of our Northford, CT location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will lead our cutting-edge Technologies projects in the Building Automation - Fire & Safety domain by applying your advanced Project Management skills. As a trusted partner, we provide actionable solutions and innovation through our Aerospace Technologies, Building Automation, Energy and Sustainability Solutions, and Industrial Automation business segments – powered by our Honeywell Forge software – that help make the world smarter, safer and more sustainable.YOU MUST HAVE:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, & engineering.5+ years of program or project management experience managing complex engineering projects and leading cross-functional teams.3+ years of experience in Product development experience with hardware/software integrated products and global development teams.Strong knowledge of engineering product development principles and project management methodologies.Proficiency with MS Project tool, including ability to create and maintain complex schedules, Project Plans and Project updates.WE VALUEPMP Certification.5+ years of experience in product development or project management experience with hardware/software integrated products and global development teams.Six Sigma Greenbelt certification.Ability to communicate and work effectively with internal and external customers at all organizational levelsAbility to effectively lead, manage, and energize cross-functional teams across multiple sitesAbility to quickly assess unclear, complex, and ambiguous situations and reduce into distinct, clear, timely, and stable direction for the development teamAbility to negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external stakeholders.Excellent problem-solving skills.The annual base salary range for this position is $133,000 - $166,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Learn more about inclusion and diversity :click hereKEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead 3-4 concurrent global new product introduction programs, overseeing integrated hardware, Firmware, and/or software, and/or mechanical product development in Agile development manner.Develop and maintain project release roadmaps, schedules, and budgets using MS Project or smart sheets, ensuring delivery within defined scope, cost, and time targets.Direct multi-disciplinary cross-functional engineering and operations teams (10-15+ across multiple sites), ensuring alignment, accountability, and timely execution.Define program scope and manage change control, including negotiations with stakeholders on program contracts and scope variations.Drive commercialization success, ensuring products meet ROI, cost, and business objectives while balancing technical feasibility.Identify and mitigate risks proactively, while capitalizing on opportunities to improve program outcomes.Work along with Integrated supply chain teams and manufacturing, ensuring readiness for production and successful design transfer into factory processes.Report program status to senior leadership, providing clear updates on milestones, risks, and financial performance.Ensure compliance with Honeywell's product development process and tools and continuous improvement practices, applying structured problem-solving to strengthen program results.Collaborate with commercial teams and, when required, engage directly with customers to align technical execution with business needs.Full timePosting Date: 2026-04-17
