Come join our Annie Penn Rehab team to experience a variety of patient care, all in one place. We have 7 PT's and 2 PTA's, as well as OT's and SLP's that treat across the lifespan. We are located in the heart of Reidsville in a convenient location and less than a 30-minute drive from Greensboro. Our therapists qualify for "rural" pay an additional $2.50/hour. We treat patients one-on-one for 45-minute sessions. This position is primarily peds with occasional floating to adult acute care. This position will provide care to our pediatric clients. Common diagnoses include autism, developmental delays/delayed milestones, sensory processing disorder, genetic disorders, neurological conditions, etc. Feeding experience or interest is a plus, not a mandatory requirement. The Occupational Therapist II evaluates patients conditions, plans, organizes, and participates in rehabilitative programs that facilitates return to optimal functional abilities, improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and decrease or prevent deformity of patients suffering from disease or injury, including patient and family education. This position is able to effectively and efficiently treat all patients in their clinical practice setting and complete all occupational therapy job functions with minimal guidance. This therapist initiates communication amongst inter-disciplinary team members, treats familiar patients with confidence, and advocates for their patients and team. This role requires independent practice in the primary setting, may require mentoring/guidance in complex situations and may have difficulty with cross coverage to other settings.

Essential Job Functions:

• Evaluates and treats all diagnoses and more complex patients.
• Conducts thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, medical history, and functional limitations to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administers therapeutic exercises and other occupational therapy interventions to improve patients' strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
• Educates patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management techniques to improve recovery outcomes.
• Collaborates with other in developing and implementing discharge plans and recommendations for continued care and may require some guidance from other team members.
• Monitors and documents patients' progress, treatment outcomes, and responses to interventions so that treatment plans can be adjusted as needed.
• Collaborates on teams from different departments to ensure coordinated patient care and holistic treatment outcomes.
• Assists with orientation and training of new staff, demonstrates an ongoing commitment to improve the performance and skill of co-workers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy

Experience:

• Required: 2 years

Licensure/Certification/Listing:

• Required: Licensed by the North Carolina Occupational Therapy Board; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
