Shipping Clerk

Location: Denton, TX STANDUP/REACH AND HIGH REACH FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE A PLUS

Position Summary: The Shipping Clerk is responsible for daily shipping activities, including managing shipping transactions, preparing and processing paperwork, coordinating deliveries, and handling materials. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate shipments while maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the delivery of products to maximize resources and meet customer deadlines.
• Schedule and coordinate outside carriers for daily product pick-up and delivery.
• Assist with material handling between assembly and shipping areas.
• May support in resolving customer complaints.
• Ensure safety regulations are consistently followed and enforced.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Certification: Forklift license required.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of shipping experience.
• Skills: Basic computer knowledge, strong communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and carry materials up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to move around the office and warehouse environments.
• Ability to operate computers and complete paperwork accurately.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.

Working Conditions:

• Standard indoor office and warehouse/manufacturing environments.

Reports To: Warehouse and Distribution Manager

Interactions With: Project Management, Engineering, Production, Plant Management, and shipping carriers.

Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
