Pottstown Hospital, part of Tower Health, is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join their dynamic team in Pottstown, PA. This role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care for a variety of surgical cases in a 232-bed short-term acute care facility. Practice Info * Pottstown Hospital is a 232-bed voluntary nonprofit hospital. * The facility offers treatment specialties including sports medicine, joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, osteoporosis, arthritis, bodily injuries, trauma, fractures, and behavioral health. * Case assignments include Ortho, urology, vascular, and more. * The medical facility has a dynamic, team-oriented approach. * Team Leadership: Ileana Maldonado-Gonzalez, Chief MD. Responsibilities * Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department * Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures * Pre-anesthesia assessment * Obtain and/or verify patient consent * Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient * Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia * Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition * Performance of clinical intervention as needed Compensation * Salary: $425,000 * Sign-on bonus: $100,000 * Loan repayment or training assistance program options are available Benefits * Generous paid time off: 8 weeks PTO * Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance * Flexible Spending Accounts/Health Savings Accounts * 401(k) * Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage * Leadership and professional development opportunities Shift & Schedule * A variety of shifts are available. Requirements * M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine * ECFMC and FLEX * Completion of approved residency in anesthesia * Currently licensed as a physician
