The Billing Specialist will support the Accounting & Finance Department by performing accounting functions related to client billings and systems administration.


Job Responsibilities

• Prepare client invoices with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Finalize and distribute statements to owners after approval of the Project Manager.
• Review owner contracts to ensure billing compliance.
• Initiate new job setup in various accounting systems.
• Draft journal entries for job cost transfers as needed.
• Audit project costs to ensure contract compliance.
• Complete budget imports from project management software to accounting ERP.
• Input change orders, job contract details from project management software to accounting ERP.
• Assist in ad hoc reporting (advanced knowledge of excel queries and pivot tables) for both internal and external customers.
• Assist accounts payable as needed.

Qualifications

• An individual must have a four-year college degree in Business with a major in accounting, 3 to 5 years' experience. Construction accounting preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and strong follow-up skills.
• Self-motivated and passionate about delivering exceptional client service.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Procore, AIA, Timberline (Sage 300), Dropbox, and iOS devices as well as other cloud storage services.
