Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic

We are looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Odessa, TX. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with a consistent 6:00 AM–2:30 PM schedule.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing diesel-powered heavy equipment, construction machinery, and company vehicles.

What You’ll Work On

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of mobile and heavy equipment, including:

• Excavators
• Front-end loaders
• Haul trucks and company work trucks
• Tractors
• Motor graders
• Metso crushing equipment
• Boom trucks
• Diesel engines, powertrain systems, and related heavy machinery

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment and diesel machinery
• Diagnose mechanical and powertrain problems and complete necessary repairs
• Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify maintenance or safety concerns
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and help minimize downtime
• Complete daily work orders and maintenance reports accurately
• Order spare and replacement parts as needed
• Maintain an organized and clean mechanic shop
• Properly handle, store, and dispose of pollutants generated in the work area

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment or diesel mechanic experience
• Experience working with construction, industrial, or similar heavy machinery
• Working knowledge of excavators, loaders, tractors, graders, crushers, boom trucks, or similar equipment
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and diesel equipment issues
• Must have your own tools
• Must be able to pass required drug and background testing
