Supplier Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure purchased materials, fabricated and welded assemblies, and outsourced processes meet quality standards.

Requirements of the Supplier Quality Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
• 3+ years of supplier quality experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, control plans, root cause analysis, GD&T, and engineering drawings
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, supplier audits, and corrective action processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Experience in metal fabrication, welding, machining, or assembly preferred
• Willingness to travel up to 60%, including occasional overnight trips

Responsibilities of the Supplier Quality Engineer

• Evaluate suppliers, conduct audits, and monitor quality performance
• Manage supplier quality issues and corrective action plans
• Review PPAPs, first article inspections, and quality documentation
• Perform root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing to resolve quality concerns
• Track supplier quality metrics and reduce defects and production risks
• Support supplier qualification, new product launches, and engineering changes

Full-Time, DIRECT HIRE

Pay is $80,000 - $95,000 annually, based on experience
