Job Overview:
We are seeking dedicated Teacher Aides and Teacher Assistants to provide 1:1 support for the 26/27 school year! This role focuses on supporting students with individualized needs to maintain academic, behavioral, and functional skills in a structured summer setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to assigned student throughout the school day
- Assist with academic tasks, routines, and transitions
- Support behavioral and social-emotional needs as directed
- Implement teacher-led instruction and individualized strategies
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Active New York State Teacher Assistant certification required (or ability to obtain for aide roles, if applicable)
- Prior 1:1 experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with students with special needs is a plus
- Patient, dependable, and team-oriented
- Strong communication and ability to follow direction
