Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Internal/Family Medicine) at Butler Hospital

Job Description The renowned Butler Hospital is seeking a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join the collaborative, multidisciplinary team of Physicians, APRNs, and Physician Assistants providing medical care at an organization with a long-respected history. About the Opportunity Monday - Friday, 10 - 12 patients per day, no call or weekends Perform admission history and physical exams for patients admitted to inpatient units and substance abuse partial hospital program Perform consultations upon request for evaluation and management of acute and chronic medical issues Interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies as required for patient care Assist in management of urgent medical situations and participate in the medical emergency response team Collaborate with psychiatric, medical, and nursing staff to ensure timely and appropriate care of all patients Strong clinical skills with a broad foundation of general medical knowledge and ability to work independently At least 1 year of experience preferred Competitive base salary, and generous benefit package including CME, malpractice insurance coverage, and employer retirement match program Butler Hospital Founded in 1844, Butler Hospital is the state's only non‑profit, free‑standing psychiatric hospital providing adults, seniors and adolescents specialized assessment and treatment for all major psychiatric illnesses and substance abuse.
